Professional Profile
Jophride is an established professional in the Rwandan tourism industry. He serves as the Managing Director of Umurage Eco Safaris, a tour operating agency that specializes in sustainable, heritage-based travel experiences, wildlife tours, and primate trekking across Rwanda's major conservation areas, such as Akagera National Park and Volcanoes National Park.
In addition to his career in tourism, Jophride is also the IT manager at New Vision Veterinary Hospital both in Kigali and Musanze and entrepreneur in the retail technology sector. He is the co-owner and co-founder of Nini’s Mobile Store Ltd, an electronics and mobile technology retail business.
Community & Philanthropy
Deeply rooted in community development, Jophride collaborates closely with Future4Kids, a philanthropic organization dedicated to supporting Rwandan children through educational resource donations, school sponsorships, and grassroots community projects. He frequently manages local logistics, travel, and hosting operations for international sponsors and visiting delegations.

We organised a three day trip with Umurage Eco safaris and from initial contact, to the end of the tour was perfect. Jophride as head of the company an as driver of a huge Toyota Landcruiser showed us wonderful sights of Rhinos. Hippos, Elephants and Lions in Akagera National Park. Also was the Gorilla trekking an expirience, a must to see in a live. The lodges along the Tour were wonderfull. I can recommend to plan a Tour with Umurage.
