Hiking Mount Muhabura
Mount Muhabura, meaning “The Guide,” stands at 4,127 meters and is the second-highest volcano in Rwanda. The climb is challenging, often taking eight to ten hours to complete, but it is also one of the most rewarding.
At the summit lies a crater lake, reflecting the sky against the backdrop of sweeping views of the Virunga volcanoes and Lakes Burera and Ruhondo below. This hike is perfect for adventurous travelers who are eager to test their limits while enjoying Rwanda’s natural beauty.
